You have 4 different folders. For 4 different versions. Open one folder for the version you need (refer to the "WHICH VERSION DO I NEED?" section into the INSTALL file to know which version to use), and install the provided kext as explained into the INSTALL file.

INSTALLATION:
ATTENTION! First of all you have to delete appleazaliaaudio.kext (/System/Library/Extensons/ folder) and remove the Audiee application from your login items. Make sure no other HDA kext is installed (other than VoodooHDA.kext)
Use the Kext Helper application to install VoodooHDA.kext.
Double click VoodooHDA.prefPane to install it (optional) if you find it into the provided package.
Reboot, and enjoy!
DESCRIPTION:
0.2.2_r8_Thireus_release_light:
This is my light release from the r8 source of VoodooHDA. I have just set the volume up for the microphone (90%) to make it work. Nothing else.
0.2.2_r8_Thireus_patched_extreme:
This is my extreme release from the r8 source of VoodooHDA. I have set the volume up for the microphone (99%) to make it work, other volumes have been increased too (A boost of +25 from the original values). Nothing else.
0.2.2_Thireus_patched_light:
This is my patched version of the latest VoodooHDA 0.2.2 release with pref pane. I have just set the volume up for the microphone (90%) to make it work. Nothing else.

WHICH VERSION DO I NEED?
You should first test 0.2.2_r8_Thireus_release_light and then 0.2.2_Thireus_patched_light to see which one you like the most. Have a look at the Sound pref pane to see if for you it doesn't matter to do not have specific names for input audio.
I prefer the release version for my eeepc because it displays diffent names for audio input, and I don't need the provided pref pane for VoodooHDA.
Then to know if you need the extreme version, play a song and set the volume at the maximum. If you think it's too low, then use the extreme version.
I prefer the extreme version, because the sound is too low for my eeepc 1000h compared to the light version.

If you want to test your microphones with Audacity don't forget to go into audacity pref and set stereo recording!!! Because by default it doesn't record stereo but mono (right channel)! And also, don't forget to choose the right devide for mic recording!
