If like me you have noticed that your Hard Drive is making *Clunk* noises, then you should be warned that it can be dangerous if it makes it very often.
Here are two methods to kill these *Clunk* noises!
Example of *Clunk* noise: HEAR ME

If like me you have noticed that your Hard Drive is making *Clunk* noises, then you should be warned that it can be dangerous if it makes it very often. Why? Because it parks the reading head hardly into a safe area to preserve your hard drive data if your computer falls down for example. This parking system is also a power saving system, because when the head is parked your hard drive is not running anymore.
But basically on our eeepcs and other notebooks, this power managing is not working as expected, that means the head is parked but the hard drive activity is not frozen, so it makes the park again and again... until you ask the hard drive to read or write on the drive.
The first method you can find over the internet to fix it is to get an application called:
hadmp --> http://mckinlay.net.nz/hdapm/
But for some reasons this method doesn't work on my eeepc 1000h due to hard drive compatibility :/
Thus I have created a daemon that launches after every boot and kill these Clunk by asking the Hard Drive to stay alive

You can get this hack HERE
